Aseica youth

VISIBILIZE AND PROMOTE YOUNG TALENT

ASEICA-Youth aims to highlight the work of early-stage investigators and aid in the development of their scientific career. We are also active advocates for improving the I+D+i in Spain, expose the fact that funding limitations have a direct impact on young talent. More than 50% of our members are under 40 years old.

Support the youngest members of ASEICA, with training, mentoring, and career development activities.

Research

Training resources for researchers have been reduced by 30% since 2009

Financing

The majority of scientists under 40 have financing problems and face a sea of red tape.

Future

48% think that the future of their line of research is not guaranteed.

Abroad

90% of researchers who work abroad believe that they have no option of returning to Spain.

ASEICA
MENTORING

ASEICA 4 You is a mentoring program designed to help students and young researchers, facilitating the support of colleagues who inspire and guide them in the development of their professional careers.

ASEICA AMBASSADORS

We present the ‘ASEICA Ambassadors’ program, an initiative open to all members who want to help promote our association in their research centers.

AID TO
RESEARCH

Last year ASEICA allocated 100,000 euros to four research grants, recognizing the most cutting-edge works by young researchers and also those with a remarkable career.

III ASEICA YOUNG VIDEO CONTEST

Are you doing a TFG or a master thesis in the field of cancer research? Are you a predoctoral or a postdoctoral researcher in this area? Do you want to participate in an outreach activity by telling us what are the aims of your research project? Or, perhaps,  would you like to share with the scientific community what cancer research means to you?

Are you an ASEICA member? Do you want to win 100 euros and a free registration* for the next ASEICA Congress?

If you answer yes to any of these questions, you have the opportunity to participate in the 3rd ASEICA-Joven Scientific Video Contest (supported by EACR).

COLLABORATION WITH ASSOCIATIONS OF
SCIENTISTS ABROAD

ASEICA has established agreements with the societies of Spanish Scientists in the United Kingdom (CERU), Germany (CERFA), the United States (ECUSA) or RAICEX, in order to increase our interaction with Spanish scientists who work on cancer in these and others countries.
