SPANISH ASSOCIATION FOR CANCER RESEARCH

LEADING ASSOCIATION

Born in 1983, the Spanish Association for Cancer Research (ASEICA) is a scientific society that brings together more than 1.700 leading cancer researchers. ASEICA channels the breakthroughs in cancer research in Spain and at the same time spreads the word to advocate necessary improvements in Science.

COMMITTED TO RESEARCH

Its objective is to promote cancer research and science dissemination among Oncology professionals. With a translational outlook, ASEICA has become a meeting point between basic and clinical researchers, from predoctoral fellows to more senior researchers, with the ultimate aim of finding the best solutions for addressing the disease.

CLOSE TO SOCIETY

Cancer patients are the end goal of ASEICA researchers’ work. For this purpose, we have a spokesperson on the Board of Directors to help interaction with patient societies and their relatives.

FOR EQUALITY

Highlighting and fostering the work of female cancer researchers in Spain is another goal, and we work actively to reduce inequality.

INTERNATIONAL VOCATION

ASEICA actively collaborates with other national and international research organisations, strengthening these ties with other Spanish and European scientific societies. Being a member of ASEICA you are also part of the EACR for free.
